Go to Start > Control Panel and search for Device Manager using the search field. Make sure that all items are installed properly. If you encounter a yellow sign mark, then it means the device is not installed. Download all required drivers from the official Cannon Support. Select the proper operating system before attempting to download drivers. Perform a new installation and try to use the scanner again. If the problem persists, then the problem you're having might be related to hardware which you cannot fix it by yourself. In this case, contact the warranty service.
