Google Talk is not available anymore. Why?

Google Talk has been recently replaced with Hangouts. Hangouts is the same chat client only Chrome-bundled. It also offers additional settings. Although it has been discontinued you can still download the program using its officialy direct download URL: http://dl.google.com/googletalk/googletalk-setup.exe

Hey - I have a WAAAY better answer that actually re-enabled my account and worked. All you have to do is go into your google ACCOUNT settings (not gmail settings), find the area where it states "Access for less-secure apps," and click "Enable." Apparently, google considers its own product (google talk) to be a "less-secure app!" As soon as I re-enabled this feature, google talk began working perfectly again.
