Corel Ventura 10 tends to crash when autosaving. Is there anything I can do about it?

My experience is that by saving each time the file size expands causing instability. If you instead use save-as each time, you'll notice file size dramatically reduces. So, to avoid instability, do not save, but save-as. This is the solution I found works.
