In most of the cases the easiest way to solve this inconvenience is to navigate to Settings > Applications > Running Services. From there, locate Google Play Store and Google Services Framework and use the Clear Data option when you tap their names.
Also, please remove the user from the Accounts and Sync and then try again to download applications from the Store.
