How to delete multiple names?

I HAVE MULTIPLE PATIENTS THAT HAVE BEEN MERGED BUT THE OLD, UNSUSED ACCOUNTS ARE NOT DELETED. HOW DO I DELETE THE OTHER ACCOUNTS (PATIENTS)
