Why doesn't the softeare support JPG or png image formats to convert Raw images from a PC or laptop?

My recent old Sony dslr cameras in that same year but I recent found on my old both canon or nikon cameras like before to the same models and I could not transfer your my photos to a camera I don’t not reason to this time. Why dont have to support JPG or png image formats to convert Raw images from a PC or laptop. You should be able to this?
