Why is my Digital designer freezing now?

I have been using my Digital designer without problems until recently but it is now 'freezing' when I try to input an image. I am not able to logout I have to 'force quit'.

I am using a MacBook Air, is there anything I can do to to resolve my problems as I have so many images that I am unable to use. I am in the UK. Thank you for any help you can give. Barbara Dawson
