How can Catalina patcher be opened if iMac says cannot because its not from a verifiable source?

I have watched the video several times so that I can follow the steps. The problem is that what shows up on the late 2009 iMac 10,1 is not how presented in the tutorial. I don't know enough to go another route to install the patch.
