In most of the cases, Winamp or Aimp can easily solve this problem, but if these applications do not provide support for the audio files you need, then you can use VideoLAN. Although it's a video player, it has support for a number of audio formats also.
All these players are supported on different operating systems from Windows to Mac, Android etc.
