Uninstalling applications using the default way is not always efficient as temporary files remain in your system drive which could have an impact on your system's performance after a while. For this not to happen again, an application which was created for this purpose needs to be used. I recommend using CCleaner as it's a powerful tool and does no harm on your computer or your system files. From personal experience I can say that this application helped me get rid of temporary files and registry keys that were obsolete.
