I keep getting a "Connection software for another Canon camera is already running. The software cannot be launched" message.

I installed and uninstalled and re-installed the software. I get this error message when I try to upload my pictures from my camera: "Connection software for another Canon camera is already running. The software cannot be launched."

After each and every installation/uninstallation operation it is recommended to perform a restart of the computer because, as you can see, you can encounter errors related to the "already running software" which means that although you uninstall the software, some parts of it may still be running in the background and once you perform an uninstallation, these running processes are scheduled for deletion upon restart. On the other hand, it seems that the software is already running or not responding. Try to close all your background programs and then start the application again. If you want to force close the applications, use the Task Manager.
