does not run - Assertion failed!

When trying to run, a pop-up appears :

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Assertion failed!

D:\Conan.conan\data\portaudio\19.2v2...\pawin_wdmks.c

Line:1081

I have uninstalled and re-installed the program and all subsequent downloads have the same pop-up.

Can you please help. I am at a total loss. Or should I try an alternative download?
