Not likely. I recompiled it and updated direct GenBank and PubMed functions to get around increasing Windows 10 security, but other than that, a complete rewrite would be needed for a useful update. BioEdit was written in a compiler system (C++ Builder) that no longer exists from a company (Borland) that no longer exists.
