How are chess e-books created? Not scanned pages or PDFs, but genuinely playable chess e-books like the ones published by Everyman: the text is typed using html(?) with links to a PGN text file and a playable chess board.
ChessBase is known to be able to create e-books in a variety of formats (Kindle included). I believe I've read somewhere that Everyman's e-books specifically use ChessBase's proprietary format.
There's a Lite version available for free download - give it a go.
