If you are connected to the Internet, then simply launch the application in its current form and go to the Help menu. There should be an option called Check for Updates. Use that to check for latest updates to install them. Additionally, visit the official website of the application and redownload the installation package. If it's a streaming installer, the actual setup package will be downloaded on your PC.
It's not necessary to remove the old version because the installation package will copy and replace the files.
