I've installed a previous build version and then updated to the one you've mentioned above, and there was no error. If you have issues with the client and updates, simply close all the background apps and make sure there are no active installations at the moment.
Additionally, download the latest version from its page, remove the currently installed one, and then install Software Informer Client once again because the latest version will be deployed on your system, therefore, avoiding any other issues and errors.
