Post-it Digital Notes file recovery.

Question

I have been using Post-it Digital Notes for several years without problem. This morning however, I turned on my laptop to see that the program had reinstalled itself and all my notes had been lost. I have rely a lot on those notes, so can you please tell me how can I recover them?

The only additional info I have is this:

Post-it(R) Digital Notes Version 5.3.0.0190

It's highly unlikely for an application to reinstall itself and remove the user's data in the process, so I'm more inclined to believe that someone else accidentally tempered with the program.

As far as retrieving your files goes, you can always install a data recovery tool like iCare Data Recovery Free or PC Inspector smart recovery (both free). Just have them scan the folder where your notes were saved and they should find your deleted files. In case neither of these free tools get the job done, you can try more powerful solutions like Zero Assumption Recovery, EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard or Recuva Data Recovery, but you're going to have to pay to get your notes back.
