Suddenly the recordings are garbled and crackly, but I am not sure what has happened.
There are two possible causes to this issue:
Skype was updated and the application doesn't work well with it, therefore it needs an update as well, but the iFree Skype Recorder developers didn't release any updates for this application since Aug, 23 2016.
The software is bugged and needs a reinstall. You can simply download the latest version available from its official website: http://www.ifree-recorder.com/download.htm
