Inaccurate Viber online status.

Question

I am using Viber both on computer and phone. Last night I turned off my phone since 9:45 pm. But my friend saw my last online was 11:50 pm on his Viber account. Why Viber shows wrong online status in other accounts even though I didn't open neither Internet or Wifi and also switched off phone?

Viber is known to display wrong status information about its users. There have been thousands of complaints regarding the status of the messages you send. Sometime ago, they even stated on a page that the message status shouldn't be treated as accurate because there could be a lot of causes which might influence it.
