What the user experiences is actually a normal thing. The software was installed on the system partition and an Administrator user is required to start it. To remove this, simply log in on the PC with a user that has administration rights and right click the icon then choose Run as Administrator. In some cases, you only have to do this once, then the software will start normally every time it's launched.
To create a user with Administrator rights, go to Start > Control panel > Users and Groups.
