The D-lightning appears to be a feature commonly encountered in Nikon cameras which means this is something related to hardware, but since it's a feature that camera uses, the firmware is the actual problem. Luckily, if you have warranty, you should send it to the warranty service to have it diagnosed. Do not use custom tools to modify the firmware of a camera device.
