If you want to set up the default player as Gmote, then go to Start > Control Panel. Type in the search bar: Default programs and the results will narrow down. Click on the remaining one, then you can assign the application to various file formats or as a general application for a specific set of video or audio file formats.
This is the only thing I have found about the software since no other troubleshooting documents are available.
