Does iText Express work with El Capitan?

Yes, the application is compatible with El Capitan. In fact, it's specified on the iTunes page that the software requires OS X 10.6.6 or later, which means you can install it. However, since the software was last updated in 2015, it might not be possible to install it, even if it says differently on the App Store page. Instead, contact the developer and ask for clarification.

Unfortunately, no, on El Capitan 10.11.6 it keeps crashing for no apparent reason, even while idling in the background.
