Agreed. I paid, keep getting the pop ups no matter what, and just uninstalled it. Terrible.

I haven't seen Control Panel -> Task Manager etc etc for 7 or 8 years. Windows-Settings-System-Notifications seemed promising but alas no Winzip anything let alone WinZip Notifier. Killing my fully paid for WINZIP at earliest.

You can disable the pop ups in the windows task manager, but they continue to come back. I agree, buy something else that does not install a virus and continuously attack your computer!

I have a licenced version and the notifier disabled at start up but it still interrupts me. Really annoying when delivering presentations across the globe. Is the only option here to edit the registry?

Corel has an entire department dedicated to annoying their customers.

Agreed! Shame on Winzip for having these annoying pop-ups even for paying customers! I never would have purchased this product if I had known about the annoying pop-ups!!

I just uninstalled Winzip and installed the open source 7-zip....

I also filed a complaint under Canada's anti-spam legislation.

Read on Norton answer page: "...you should not use the Softonic download site." They bundle **** with things you might download. As to this issue of Winzip popups: It comes from Corel corp; they do unwanted popups on other stuff too. Good product, but.....
So go to Task Manager, Startup tab, and find the Winzip update notifier. Disable it. simple as that.

Uninstalled Winzip over a year ago for that very reason. During the process, you'll be asked to give a reason why you're uninstalling. This is your chance to let them know what you think about paying customers being annoyed with their popups.
