Communication error.

Question

I was using RDCAM Laserwork software without problems until recently. While trying to send artwork to laser engraver, I get a popup error message that simply says 'Communication error'. I checked all cables and they seem to be fine. I can use files already programmed on to the engraver, just can't get a new file over with either start, ufile or download. All result in same error message. Any suggestions? Is it a software problem?

Was you able to figure out what the problem is? I am having the same issue and I can not figure out what is wrong.

When you receive a Communication Error message, then it means there is something that prevents you from communicating with the available devices. I recommend checking the connection settings and that there are no issues with the Firewall. Use the Internet Security installed on your PC or the built-in Windows firewall to allow the software to communicate with the devices.

If the device requires a driver, then go to Start > Run > devmgmt.msc and check that all drivers are installed properly and there is no yellow sign listed in that section.

I had the same problem when I first bought my laser it turned out to be the usb cable .Replaced it and the problem was gone.

I am having same issue, I have checked the cable and restarted the machine and pc but the error still persist
