Freshly installed driver keeps refreshing.

asked by about REALTEK 11n USB Wireless LAN Driver and Utility

Recently I bought the netis AC1200 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter model WF2190 on Amazon after reading the extensive recommendations. It came with a driver CD containing an older version of the REALTEK 11n USB Wireless LAN utility as the driver from 2013. I installed the driver and plugged in the USB adapter according to the manual. After restarting, my PC recognized the adapter, the control light on the adapter starts blinking, and the driver loaded normally, but when attempting to set up a profile or search for networks, the driver starts and keeps on refreshing and occasionally freezes and comes back to life. When I stop the driver and start it again, it would just keep on refreshing every 2 seconds so that I cannot click on anything. I believed it to be a driver issue and found a more recent version on the Netis website (Version 700.1677.122.2014). After erasing the older driver, installing the latest version from the website and restarting my pc, I am still having the same issue, i.e. constant refreshing of the driver without the option of clicking onto anything. My PC is running on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I would be glad to get help so I can use the WLAN adapter properly.

I have checked all the website, but it redirects me to the same driver page at Netis. I would recommend trying again to install the device, but if it gives you the same error over and over again, then use their support page. It's possible that the products needs RMA (Return to Manufacturer) or replace from the seller due to hardware failures.

Contact them: http://www.netis-systems.com/en/about/contactus.html

Note: After all these procedures, try updating Windows 7 using Windows Update and apply all the updates, then install the device.
