This means the software has encountered an error with its modules and running procedure. First thing to do is to attempt a repair operation. Go to Start > Control panel > Uninstall a Program. Click to Remove the application and then use Repair instead of complete removal. This will automatically fix the issues with the files and registry integrity.
Additionally, try closing all the running applications and then run the application again, but this time apply a compatibility tweak. Right click the executable file and choose Properties > Compatibility. Enable OS compatibility and select Windows XP Service Pack 3 from the list. Mark Run as Administrator as well and then run the application. If I am right, it should work normally now.
