I ran uninstall from Control Panel Programs and Features, and it said it was uninstalled. When I rebooted, however, it opened at boot up. It no longer appears in the Uninstall window, but it always starts. It does show up in Task Manager's Startup tab.

I don't want it and I can't get rid of it.

Try using Revo Uninstaller. Even if it can't uninstall the application normally, it will force it to uninstall by wiping out all traces of its presence from the system.

In Revo, use the Advanced version to detect Chromium. If the installation is broken, it should be listed with a yellow exclamation mark.

After that, try running AdwCleaner to make sure that there are no leftover rogue registry keys or toolbars in your system.
