Have a Panasonic SDR-h40 digital camcorder that came with Videocam Suite 1.0. I had Windows XP at that time. I now have a new PC with Windows 8.1 and can't install the software. The hard drive on the camcorder is full, and I need to be able to copy them to my C to make room for new videos. Any suggestions?
You will need to apply a new update to the application to be able to run it in Windows 8. Access the Panasonic website and download the update then apply it to the installed application. After the process finishes, reboot the computer and then start it again. It should work afterwards.

Sean, I have the same problem, and your answer wasn't helpful. The link you provided is for version 2, not version 1. The problem isn't that it won't RUN. It won't INSTALL. So, we can't update an application that isn't installed.
