Not connecting to my computer.

I am having some trouble connecting my D-Link stick to my computer. When I put the stick in the USB port there is a yellow light so I know it has power. But the stick won't do anything after that. Before I would connect the stick and a little banner would come up and tell me "Initializing connection manager. Do not plug out" and the lights would change to green, blue or red. Now it won't do any of that. Thank you for your help.

It's possible the drivers and the software were messed up. Try going into Device Manager using Start > Run > devmgmt.msc. If the device isn't installed, right click and choose Update Driver then let Windows finish the procedure.

Secondly, if you have the CD with the drivers and the software for the USB Stick, insert it and launch the installation. You can either repair or remove the packages. I recommend a re-installation of the software, but first remove all the packages.
