Old Ipassman information.

Earlier I had downloaded and stored passwords through Ipassman. But when I re-installed the OS (Windows 7), I could not open the earlier Ipassman stored passwords. Now in the new OS I downloaded Ipassman again, but how to regain the earlier passwords (any file with .dat extension will have this and how to make use of that)?

If you didn't back up the INI file that contained the accounts and passwords, then they are long gone. By default, IPassMan stores the database in an INI file located on the following path: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\iPassMan.ini. With the re-install of Windows, that file was deleted. It's not possible to restore the file anymore, therefore a new installation is required.
