In order to fix the problem, open the User Folder of your Palm's device and move the User Data file to your desktop. Rename the User Data Archive file to User Data and launch the software. If the issue persists, move the User Data file from your desktop to Trash without emptying it. Launch the software, move the User Data from Trash again to your desktop and from within Palm Desktop press and hold Apple and Option and then select Import from the File menu.
