What is out of range means?

I can't install many games because when I start to do it goes off and says out of range. I read in an article that I should turn the 3D on, but when I want to do it again I see out of range message. Can you help please?

Out of range is usually referred to the resolution of your desktop. Try increasing the resolution or replace the monitor because the resolution required by the game is not supported on your monitor. I have seen this a lot of times, and the only way to fix it is by replacing the monitor to support higher resolutions.
