ArcSoft WebCam Companion is not working properly on my Sony Vaio VPCF11M1E.

My ArcSoft Webcam Companion 3.0 cannot be used to capture videos or photos as the frame turns black whenever it is switched on. I'm using Sony Vaio VPCF11M1E and it worked fine in the past. The green light turns on on the laptop but it is not capturing whether the camera is used independently or on Skype or Google Hangouts. I recently installed Fraps for desktop capturing and I'm wondering if there is a problem. Can you help me?

In order to fix the problem, I recommend you download the latest webcam files from the official web page. Select your operating system and download the files. After that, press Windows + R key combination, type devmgmt.msc and click OK. Expand the Imaging devices list, right-click on the webcam driver and select Update Driver Software. Use the Browse option to navigate to the downloaded package, select the driver and install it following the on-screen instructions. After that, update ArcSoft WebCam Companion to the latest version.
