Most applications allow you to save or export the data to a file/CD/ISO, etc. You need to do the same in your case. Start the application then look for Export functions. You can usually find them through the menu bar under File. Next to Save, Print, Open, etc, there should also be Export as or Export to. Save the content to another partition or storage device then reinstall the OS and import it back using File > Open or File > Import.
