So, the Sound Organizer can be used to transcribe a memo if I do not have Dragon Naturally Speaking installed on my computer? I have tried to transcribe with Sony's Sound Organizer which only gives me a time stamp and no text. I was reading on Sony's website that Sound Organizer is now compatible with Dragon Naturally Speaking. Does that mean you must have Dragon installed to transcribe? I just want to make sure I do not need any other software installed along with Sony's Sound Organizer to transcribe my memo. Can anyone help me clarify this?

The Dragon Naturally Speaking is compatible with Sound Organizer in terms of voice recognition for a file to convert the streaming audio to text. For some Sony programs, the Dragon NaturallySpeaking is provided as an offer.

However, you can use Sound Organizer to transcribe a memo without using Dragon Naturally Speaking. Sound Organizer supports transcribing and pedals to ease the job.
