If the modem fails to connect and the software and the drivers are installed properly on the operating system, then the Mobile Partner is not configured using standard parameters. Performing a fresh installation of the software and drivers should fix this problem. Just go to
Start> Control Panel > Add & Remove Programs> Select Mobile Partner> click Remove and perform a reboot of the machine. Make sure that you unplug your device and after the reboot plug the device back and an automated installer will start and the next step is to follow the installation instructions prompted. Be careful not to change anything or if you need to configure settings make sure that you make those provided by the company that sold the ZTE modem.
