This application is not even compatible with Windows 7. According to official information, the PC Memory Scriber is compatible with Microsoft Windows 98 (SE), Millennium Edition, 2000 Professional, XP Professional, and XP Home Edition. If you managed to install it in Windows 7, then you should do the same in Windows 8. Instead of waiting for Windows to install the necessary drivers, press Windows Key + X > Device manager and manually point the installer of the device to the drivers. Windows will give you an error which can be ignored.
