On my instruction sheet with the unit, it has a line for Login Type. On the software just downloaded now has IP Address. I took the IP Address off the VCR and network connection fails. How do I get the software to work on my PC?
The first thing you need to do is to download the available updates for the application then connect the DVR to the PC through the network cable or connect it to the router. After this process, go to the router's administration interface and check the DHCP Client list. It's possible that the DVR device changed its address and because of that, connection is impossible. Access the official website and download the updates then follow the steps in order to update it. Disable the firewall on your computer while you are doing this.
