When I scan to a PDF, it automatically makes an OCR file. Any ideas on how to stop this?

This is just an option you need to configure in the Settings menu. Start the application, go to the Settings menu and look for OCR settings. Disable them and then restart the application. Once the application started, perform another scan of the PDF operation and you will be prompted to save it to the PDF file format. The OCR is used to recognize the text on the scanned PDF files.
