To fix this error, make sure that the browser you use to connect to the Internet is actually able to connect. To verify this, go to Tools > Settings > Advanced > Network. The option No Proxy needs to be checked. Additionally, check Tools > Internet options > Connections > LAN. These two solutions are used for Firefox and Internet Explorer. Chrome is using Internet Explorer's proxy settings and the process is the same. Additionally, Adobe Flash needs to be installed because the game is based on Adobe Flash.
