I have a mobile phone and can't download anything on the Play Store because of error 492. What should I do?

There are two fixes for this error when it's encountered:

  1. Format your SD card and then plug-it back to your phone. It has been reported that this is a common cause for error 492.
  2. Go to System Settings > Manage Applications > Select “All” tab and then identify Play Store on the list. Tap on it and then tap on Clear Cache. Reboot the phone and access Play Store again.
