It's impossible to create a CD-R in USB format. However, if you can't add to your CD, then it means it was burned in Single Session mode. Having Multi Session for a disc, even if it's CD-R, allows you to add files to the available empty space. Try re-burning the disc again but this time add all the content you need. You can still choose Multi Session to add files later in case you forget something.
