Open the application and access the configuration settings, then locate the notification settings and make sure that the sounds are properly configured. Try to assign notification sounds from the C:\Windows\Media directory. There are plenty of sounds that can be used. The cause of notification sounds not being played could be related to the fact that the location where they were stored is deleted or moved to another directory.
