An application used to rename files could come in handy when you rip multiple DVDs. If you only want to rename the files then I suggest you use an application which resumes only to this operation only. I have previously used SimpleMovieRenamer and I successfully renamed my DVD collection to something more easy to read and understand. Also, upon adding a file, the software clears all unnecessary characters that are not used. It acts as a file cleaning tool as well, removing strange characters from your file name.
