If you have to set up a path every time the application is started, then it means you're using the software in Windows Vista or higher without Administration access. Locate the software, right click it and select Run as Administrator. This will give full permission rights. Set the path and close the software. The paths for the program can be set up from the main menu of the application. The next time you open the software, it should have all the paths set up correctly.
