The behavior that you encounter while using Snapchat can have different causes. To fix it, try using a stable Internet connection. You might encounter the blank screen due to a connection error. Also, this can be caused by an internal error of the application. If this is the case, go to the menu of your device, under Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All tab, tap on Snapchat and select Clear Data and Clear Cache.
