How and with which software can I edit and join my MTS clips in the PC?

Question

I want to edit and make movies from my MTS Camcoder clips but no software that I have supports MTS clips. I have tried Avid Liquid Studio, Power Director' Ulead Video Studio, but AVCHD format is unknown for all of them. Help me, please.
