You can unlock the phone through Recovery. To do this, turn off the phone then press Volume UP + Power until the Android logo appears. Press Power button again and you'll end up in Recovery. Select Wipe data/factory reset and reboot the phone. At this time, it should be unlocked and ready to be used.
