Apps have disappeared from the start screen on VAIO laptop.

All apps have disappeared from start screen from my VAIO laptop. How to restore them?

There are three causes for this error:

1. The icons have been deleted. Try opening Recycle Bin because there is a chance they're stored in that location.

2. The icons have been hidden. You can bring them back by going to Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View > Show hidden system files and folders.

3. The option which manages this option was disabled. To enable it, right click the desktop then select View > Show desktop icons.
